Bad Luck and Good Luck

ice pack for the knee boo-boo
The bad luck is that I fell on the garage floor yesterday and hurt my left knee. It’s swollen and very painful. I have an appointment tomorrow with my orthopedic doctor to check it out. This is my bad knee that has gone through two surgeries and is a candidate for an artificial joint. I am nursing it and hoping that I can get it to work with a few less magnitudes of pain when we go on vacation next week.

The good luck is that I won a bloggy giveaway from Terri at Thistle House Primitives! It is for a gorgeous handmade little pinkeep, which I will put to good use in my sewing studio (and general headquarters for monumental messes)! I had a hard time picking which one I wanted, but finally selected the blue one. Thank you so much, Terri, for your generosity! And for my readers, please check out her lovely blog and creative folk art!

I am rapidly approaching my 100th post, so keep your eyes peeled for a bloggy giveway in celebration of that milestone!

  2. Thank you, country cupcakes! I hope so too. Didn't sleep a wink last night because of the pain. Hopefully, I'll be exhausted and sleep tonight.

Yes, the little prize made me smile despite the pain from my clumsiness, LOL!

  3. Oh, I hope your knee is doing better! I have done similar moves and it is NOT a pleasant experience! But the prize undoubtedly made it feel better...kind of like using a pretty Band-aid...always eases the ouches.

    Take care of yourself!

  4. Oh Donna, I am so behind in my blog reading. I hope you are feeling better by now. My hubby has been in some pain the past few days with his knees also. Lucky you though in your winnings.

  6. Thank you, Joni, Joan, and Donna, for your concern! I am way behind on my blog reading because I've had to keep my leg propped of to reduce the swelling. I'm improving each day and no longer whimpering, LOL, or using a cane. I was really frightened that we would have to cancel our trip! It still hurts, but I am so grateful that I didn't mess myself up badly with the fall.

I got my little pincushion prize today in the mail and will need to post a picture of it! It is so precious!
