Fall Arrival

The weather has been cooler since we returned home. The fall colors are beginning to show their glory here in east Tennessee, and this year is looking exceptional so far.

Here are some pictures I took along the driveway last week. This Bradford pear tree got a jump start on all the others. After another week and a rainfall, its red leaves are now all scattered on the grass.

an overachiever Bradford pear, this specimen jumps the gun on its siblings
The October Glory maples change colors at different times and vary in their colors.

these maples stand at attention along the driveway

One maple along the row always turns a beautiful shade of crimson.

the red maple standout deserves a closer look

  7. Absolutely beautiful! Last October our family took a mini vacation to PA to see the leaves change. I fell in love with all the trees and the different colors they proudly displayed. The leaves here in VA have not begun their change, but after seeing your neck of the woods.....I can't wait!!!! I love the fall!
