Photo Challenge: Looking Upwards

It is once again time for the latest Brenda Photo Challenge! The subject is Looking Upwards, picked by the current challenge hostess, Joan of Joan's Journeys. All of these pictures were taken at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, one of our favorite jaunts when we visit middle Kentucky.

This spiral staircase is quite a favorite spot for photographers. The picture was taken at f/4 and 1/5 second.

A safety sign provided some merriment for us. Its message could be a helpful mantra for many folks today! The camera settings were f/5 and 1/60 second.

Finally, a window with streaming sunlight provided a magical photo opportunity. The scene was breathtaking in real life. The photo was taken at f/3.5 and 1/5000 second.

P.S. Sorry, everyone for jumping the gun on the challenge. I thought it was today! Hope you enjoy these photos!

  8. These are really great Donna! I love the staircase at Shaker Village. I've been there but it was many years ago and I would love to go back. And you are right that last one with the sunlight is totally awesome! Great photos. I still have to get mine together for my post and use photos I already have. There's been no looking upwards for me since I got the vertigo. LOL But thank goodness, it's so much better!
