The Red Kettle

Salvation Army's red kettle
We are not taking on elf duties this Christmas season at our local Salvation Army’s distribution center. After all the packing and moving activities, more standing and walking would not be good for us. So we are putting extra money in the kettles this year, every time we pass them.

If you see a Salvation Army kettle in the days ahead, please consider putting some of your spare change or a few greenbacks in the bucket. This is a wonderful organization, and they provide services all year long within your community to those who need it most.

Thank you!

  1. Yes, indeedy. I love the Salvation Army. I especially love the stories of William Booth and his love for the Lord. We always give what we can.

  4. Hi Donna,
I am in awe of how many people volunteer their time ringing bells and standing by those kettles. Even in frigid weather. I hope the Lord blesses them extra!! Not too far from here someone stole a red kettle and took all the money. Very sad indeed. But that bell ringer was right back at their job in two days!!
    Hugs~
