juvenile harbor seal, Dawes Glacier, Endicott Arm, Alaska
Thank you, dear blogging friends, for voting in my recent survey and for your encouragement about producing a photo book. Many of you will be happy to know that the theme with the most votes was Alaska! Grand scenics, animals, and flowers/trees rated closely behind. Antiquities/folk art, bears, and birds also secured many votes. Here’s the good news. With the variety of photos to choose from our two recent Alaska trips, all of the themes will be represented!
I need to roll up my sleeves now and get to work! There are some more photos from our July trip that I plan to process and post. Then I will pick and choose which images to include in the photo book from the completed inventory. If you have particular favorites, please don’t hesitate to let me know! A convenient link to my Flickr site is over on my sidebar. Just tell me the image names.
In the meantime, please keep visiting and commenting on my blog! The photo book will be a prize awarded in early January. Also, the winner will be determined from a random drawing of followers who post comments during November and December. It could be YOU!
Hi Donna, I didn't get in on the voting --but Alaska would be awesome...
ReplyDeleteGlad you went to the Pisgah area... We love Brevard and that entire area... ALSO--I see that you went to Cumberland Gap. That's another favorite areas of ours... We almost got caught up at the pinnacle one evening getting pictures of the sunset... They almost locked the gates with us inside... ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy
=) I love being in the majority. LOL!
ReplyDeletewell, it sounds like you are happy with the choice and that you will have a great amount of quality material to fill it, too. :)
ReplyDeleteMake sure you put that baby seal in there!!
ReplyDeleteany one of those topics would be a winner and choosing photos would be very difficult. All of the images I've seen are excellent and book worthy
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that it will be Alaska, too. And how awesome that those photos take in all the different categories! Something to look forward to! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteJeanne - I'll be sure to include the little seal! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDonna! Thank you for your nice words for my husband's birthday. Did you see my newest post? His birthday didn't go quite as we planned but it was nice.
ReplyDeleteCute little seal/sea lion. Marvelous photo!
I'm sure it's going to be awesome! Love that cute little seal!!
ReplyDeleteI know (re: Cougars)! I kept looking up at the large trees way overhead looking for a rotten cat ready to pounce. Gratefully didn't see any and we go out of there. We only had ducks and geese at the nice, easy lake. Yes, I am worried about my husband taking the test for his DL.... :(
ReplyDeleteAwwww!! He looks SO Lonely! And you didn't bring him Home???Hahaaa
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot Donna!!
hughugs
Great news, we'll be anxiously watching more wonderful scenes.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your Alaskan photos. My hubby and I have spent a lot of time in the Yukon and the inside passage areas of Alaska, but not greater Alaska. So I look forward to your photo journal.
I had to become a follower, of course!

Yay for Alaska! Your photos are amazing. I'd love to have an album to inspire my sweetheart and I - we want to go north to Alaska sometime. Maybe in the near future!
