Hooray! I’ve reached the milestone of 800 blog posts! I have to admit to myself that it is quite an accomplishment. On January 1, I’ll be (mentally) dancing a jig and celebrating five years out here in blogland. Not too shabby.
So what I have learned along the way? One important lesson is to expect the unexpected. Inspiration for blog posts and photos come from the little life moments that take me a bit by surprise and make me pause. Sometimes, they even make me giggle.
Here is a case in point. During our recent Churchill adventure, eagle-eye Mister Jim noticed some playful polar bears were hiding under a nearby rover. Photography-hungry tourists on board the vehicle were madly searching the landscapes for these animals. And here they were, tucked underneath and probably snorting some laughs about how they outwitted the humans.
It just goes to show you that merriment can show up at the most unlikely time and place!
Thank you for the privilege of sharing my life and thoughts with you. It’s been a lot of work to create 800 posts. But it has been worth it!
P.S. Dear following friends: Please continue to comment on my posts this month so that you can get additional chances to win an Alaska photo book!
