Vee's Note Card Party - Manly Cards

It’s time for Miz Vee’s monthly note card party!

A Haven for Vee

It seems like it was just the other day when the January party was held. Now it’s February already! I was pondering quite a bit on what to feature this month, but I was saved by a light bulb moment. It was bright white, incandescent 100-watt bulb kind of moment, not one of those illuminated by a ghastly dim bulb with a “twirly” shape.

Guys are recipients of note cards! So why not pick out a few photos that manly men would like to receive? Coming right up!

1954 Packard Patrician hood ornament, Embudo, New Mexico

Contessa Nettle camera (vintage effects applied in post-processing)

antique Jim Beam still, Clermont, Kentucky

Bluenose Schooner weathervane, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Ah, that's a fun assortment! I hope you will have time to stop by A Haven for Vee for her card part links and visit other participants!

  2. You're so right! I never have the right thing to send to a man for a note or a birthday or anything. These would be perfect! No trouble linking up? Others are still reporting troubles? I'm in close contact with Mister Linky's support desk. Ha!

  4. Creative! Very good idea to include the men, and yes, when you write a man a note, you just don't want a bunch of flowers or other fluffy things!

  8. All wonderful notecards that would definitely be perfect to send to a man.
Why can't we still have hood ornaments on the cars? A collection of them would be a fun thing to have.

  12. You are sooo right, sometimes you might have to send a guy a note (or reminder). I especially like the 1954 hood ornament, that is a beauty. And a very very good year ;-) I don't remember it really, but it was the year I was born. xo

  23. Great choices for a manly greeting ~ it's almost as hard to come by a good greeting card for a man, as it is to come by a good man! (**/
