Keeping It Short and Sweet

I am knee deep in photo editing these days and going nowhere fast. I shoot RAW files and I’m quite a fussbudget when it comes to post-processing. So each image takes me quite a while. But I should have a few Utah photos to share here in a couple of days (with special emphasis on the word “few”).

As you can see, I redecorated my blog this past weekend. It was not a rousing success. I tried to add a cloud photo as a background, but the template editor was not cooperating. And the only photo it would accept was one extremely low resolution. It didn’t look good. So I threw in the towel and uploaded little squares of repeating polka dots. Optically, it leaves a lot to be desired. But it will have to do for now.

On a very sad note, a dear neighbor friend of ours passed away this morning. We will greatly miss his gentle spirit. But we know that heaven has welcomed him with open arms.

  1. i'm sorry for the loss of your neighbor! the 'fabric' isn't so bad as a blog background. :)

  3. I'm sorry also about your neighbor; it's so hard to lose friends.

The background is bright, but I like bright! :)

  4. Cannot wait to see what you have seen while here in my home state. It is always fun to see it through someone else’s eyes or camera!

I rather like your background especially since I've always been partial to blue

  10. The polka dots look fine but I'm sure fluffy white clouds will appear another day when things cooperate.
    Sorry about your neighbour.

  12. So sorry about your friend. I'll bet you will come up with a fantastic idea for this background. It's nice as it is but I know what you mean. Your background is usually a bit more dramatic.

  13. The vividness of your background is nice. A great pop of blue. Right. Doing our own backgrounds is a challenge because of the resolution issues. I can make my own for one blog and not the other. I have to do a lot of cropping to get it right. Mine is pretty busy right now, but change is good.
