Photo of the Week - Weathered Window Along Church Street

Charleston, South Carolina

I’m posting up the "photo of the week" rather late in the day. But hey, it’s here!

This window sure does radiate character. It is one of a pair that adorns a house on picturesque Church Street. I think that rustic buildings and artifacts make wonderful photographic subject matter. There is an abundance of texture! However, the house owner probably has an entirely different perspective and is fretting over restoration costs.

  3. It probably does take all of their time and effort...oh and money to work on these old places but they sure are beautiful! Take care my friend! Sweet hugs, Diane

  4. It is wonderful. I love old architecture and windows, doors, gates etc. I wouldn't want to have to pay for upkeep on those old homes though. We have enough to do keeping up our 42 year old house.

  7. Charming window on an obvious money pit. I wonder if that is a coal hatch under the window?

  9. I love how the blue of the shutters is different from the blue of the covering on the cellar window, but they complement each other. Lots of character there. Love all these photos of Charleston.

  10. I love it. I've often thought the same thing. Even though the rustic look is very big does it hold the same appeal for the owner
