Photo of the Week - Autumn Embrace

Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

I had every intention of writing up a newsy type of post to let you know how and what I am doing at the moment. But the clock hands keep going faster than I do. A weekly photo highlight will have to suffice.

Autumn weather and colors were certainly embracing northwest Wyoming during my visit a couple of weeks ago. Now chilly weather has arrived and colorful foliage is beginning to appear in east Tennessee. Long-sleeve shirts are now being worn. The heating mode is set on the HVAC systems. Daylight hours are shorter. And, you will notice that I changed my blog header and background to reflect the calendar.

As my area slides into the fall season, I am setting time aside for some regional photography. My Fuji camera just received a professional cleaning. So it will be servicing me as I jaunt along in the local mountains, searching for subject matter that catches my eye.

I hope that you are getting out and enjoying the foliage changes too!

  1. Spectacular! The mountain peaks are so pointy. It sounds like you are keeping busy which is a good thing. Our fall colours peaked the past week and now are fading and falling more each day. I hope you enjoy your jaunts locally and get some nice photos. Blessings. Pam

  2. Beautiful picture. I haven't had time to leisurely go out and enjoy the fall colors but I see a lot of it on my daily commute and it sure makes the drive more pleasurable

  6. Such rugged peaks in those mountains. Beautiful! Glad that fall has arrived in your area - it's getting chillier here, too, although the days are very pleasant. Enjoy your jaunts!
