A Pint Low

I haven’t donated blood since the first part of the year, but I am a pint low now! The local blood bank had a mobile unit out in our neck of the woods today. Hubby and I took advantage of this convenience, along with a lot of other people. It was a happening place!

If you haven’t donated blood in a while, please consider this as a gentle reminder to do a kindness for a stranger.

    A great thing to to do Donna! I haven't done that in a long time. I remember when I was about 20 I tried to donate blood but they said I didn't weigh enough to give any. That never happened again and I doubt it ever will. LOL

    Good for you, Donna! I used to donate when I was younger, now they can't get it from me (not because I wouldn't); my veins have shrunk or somethin'.

    There was a time when I got rejected too, Joan, when I weigh too little for donating. LOL, those days are long gone!

    What a great thing to do! I used to do that regularly and then got anemic and couldn't. Not anemic anymore but haven't donated in years. I need to watch for a blood drive and do that.

    I have a friend in need of blood right now, so I can appreciate the drive for blood...we just never know when it might be us! Always good to give...and it's good for our bodies to give blood now and then...what a great post and I think that's pretty neat that they have a mobile unit to come to you, I wish we had that! Thanks for sharing...literally.

    Thank you, Joni! Yes, it is important for our communities. We never know when our loved ones or we will need blood.

    God bless your friend. I hope that she gets the medical treatment she needs and is soon on the road for recovery.
