  6. This will be my second year getting a flu shot. I managed to avoid it up until last year when I was diagnosed with diabetes, now I can't avoid it anymore! We get them for free at the hospital I work at. Today was the first day and the line stayed a mile long! I'll go back on Friday!

  8. I need to do that soon. Got my first one last year. Got sick within a week, but I'm still planning to get one again this year.

  9. I got sick last year too, late in the season. The vaccine last year wasn't very good for protection. Hopefully, this year's mix will be better!

  19. We'll be at the first Flu Shots Date, at our doc. We get them every year, and have for years.

Let's keep our hopes up, that there is a Silent Majority out there. And that they will vote! Even though the Lib news are trying to tell us "It's all over folks!" "Obama has already won." Lets so hope that the Silent Majority doesn't believe them!!!

Hope they defy them with the fact that, it's not over for them, till they have cast _their_ vote.

    Courage,
    Miss Mari-Nanci

  20. Good to hear from you, Miss Mari-Nanci, and that you are getting your flu shot lined up!

Yep, I am trying to stay hopeful. I sure wish the undecided folks would come to their senses! I know the hard-core Democrats will vote for whoever they put up (case in point). So it is the undecided, middle of the road folks who really determine the outcome!

  21. So we need to get a flu shot, we do every year becasue the hubby has has open heart CABG. Called the health dept. today because they usually have clinics available and there is never a shortage of vacines if you are comprimised or the care giver,...me. So what I didn't realize is most of the clinics are done and there are only 3 left for the year. The locations are quite a way from us, but if we have to travel that is OK. the fee for us is only $10. But the funniest thing is there is a clinic tomorrow at the local fire station, but it is a drive-through clinic...how funny is that. Drive through flue shots! What will they think of next!!!

  22. That is surprising, chickengal, that most of the clinics are done giving shots in your area! They just started here in the past week. You might want to do the fire station drive thru, LOL. My mom in Indiana says that she has done that before, so they must be more common than you think. Haha!
