Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I had a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone when we visited Ireland over a decade ago. I took a pass. There was no way that I was going to plant my lips where millions of other lips have been! YUCK!

Tourists visiting the Blarney Stone, circa 1897.
Note the fellow going down on his knees to kiss the stone,
and his wife holding on to the waistband of his pants!

  2. You are a riot! Now I'd never have thought not to do such a disgusting thing. =D Some things never change...the lady holding onto her hubby's waistband to keep him from toppling over. I performed that task the day before yesterday when John went a little wide on me. Too funny.

  3. The closest I'll come to kissing the Blarney stone will be a reading challenge. But that is funny. You could have used a chlorox wipe and cleaned the stone first. or put a guard on your lips. Happy St. Patricks Day.

  5. Love that picture! I think if I'm ever there, I'll have to kiss the stone... in honor of my Irish ancestors. I will have some disinfectant/antibacterial soap with me though! Lol!
