Keeping It Short and Sweet

I am knee deep in photo editing these days and going nowhere fast. I shoot RAW files and I’m quite a fussbudget when it comes to post-processing. So each image takes me quite a while. But I should have a few Utah photos to share here in a couple of days (with special emphasis on the word “few”).

As you can see, I redecorated my blog this past weekend. It was not a rousing success. I tried to add a cloud photo as a background, but the template editor was not cooperating. And the only photo it would accept was one extremely low resolution. It didn’t look good. So I threw in the towel and uploaded little squares of repeating polka dots. Optically, it leaves a lot to be desired. But it will have to do for now.

On a very sad note, a dear neighbor friend of ours passed away this morning. We will greatly miss his gentle spirit. But we know that heaven has welcomed him with open arms.

  1. i'm sorry for the loss of your neighbor! the 'fabric' isn't so bad as a blog background. :)

  2. I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a good neighbour isn't easy. Have a good time editing your photos!

  3. I'm sorry also about your neighbor; it's so hard to lose friends.

The background is bright, but I like bright! :)

  4. Cannot wait to see what you have seen while here in my home state. It is always fun to see it through someone else’s eyes or camera!

  5. I am so sorry to hear of the death of your friend. I will keep his family and friends (especially you!) in my prayers.

I like the new background - it's very cheerful!

    Take care of yourself.

  6. Sorry about the loss of your friend/neighbor... Prayers for the family...

My hubby works with RAW ---and he's picky also... I have too many things going to be picky!!!! ha

Beautiful birdie blog tomorrow. Don't miss.

  7. I think the background looks pretty good! So sorry to hear about your neighbor.

  8. I like the polka dots. I like everything you do. May your dear neighbor rest in peace.

  9. So sorry to hear about your neighbor. Prayers for his family.
I rather like your background especially since I've always been partial to blue

  10. The polka dots look fine but I'm sure fluffy white clouds will appear another day when things cooperate.
    Sorry about your neighbour.

  11. Sorry your so frustrated Donna but i understand- i'm the same way when thing do not turn the way i wanted them to.. grrr

  12. So sorry about your friend. I'll bet you will come up with a fantastic idea for this background. It's nice as it is but I know what you mean. Your background is usually a bit more dramatic.

  13. The vividness of your background is nice. A great pop of blue. Right. Doing our own backgrounds is a challenge because of the resolution issues. I can make my own for one blog and not the other. I have to do a lot of cropping to get it right. Mine is pretty busy right now, but change is good.

Marty, here! Donna loves comments, and I faithfully pass them on to her. Thank you so much for visiting!
