Photo of the Week - A Dog and His Ball

Charleston, South Carolina

As we strolled through the old city portion of Charleston a few weeks ago, I happened to spy this adorable dog on the other side of an ornate garden fence. He observed me with studied contentment, knowing quite well that his precious tennis ball toy was safely on his side of the metal gate. The dog's measured expression seemed to say, “Move along, tourist, the ball is mine – all mine.”

  1. I think he would have liked someone to throw the ball for him. *wink* Great pic my friend.

  11. Oh Donna, you are so kind. Thank you so much. I know it was shocking but I just had to finally say what was going on with me. I have a plan to dump my onco because of somethings thus far and I haven't even had my surgery yet. lol Having a great support system is crucial, for dang sure. I am hoping the best for you and Jim. Cancer is mean but I am STRONG and HEALTHY right now and I will continue to fight. I have a great friend that has dealt with this over the past 8 months and she taught me to realize that all of the battles in the war will and are temporary. That helps me keep my mind on my goals and ambitions despite the facts of the ding-dang stupid creepy cancer!!!!!!! ♥

  15. Hi Donna,
That is an awesome photo! The expression on that dog's face is priceless! Thanks for stopping by my blog tonight. My son has a strong interest in photography and is studying Journalism (with a photography interest) at school. Hopefully he will find something in the field when he graduates!!
    Take care,
