Photo of the Week - At the River's Edge




Greenbriar area, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee

Physical limitations prevented me from experiencing the majesty of this river’s edge. However, I could easily marvel at springtime’s beauty from the safety of a bridge. And, I was able to include in the composition a fellow photographer looking out at the mesmerizing scene before him. (Please click on the image to see it bigger.)

    Ha! I hadn't seen the photographer at first either. Beautiful photo. A nice place to visit for peace and quiet (except for the wonderful sound of water), with a good camera and mosquito repellant.

    Beautiful! I can almost hear the sound of the river. I'm glad you could view it from the bridge. I was at a spot beside a rapid river a few weeks ago and I thought of you. Oh, how I wished I could remember what you said about photographing rivers. I'll have to go back and review and practice because I'm going back to that area in the near future.
