I tend to be a bit of a purist when it comes to landscape photography. However, I sometimes break out of my self-inflicted mold and include a person in the composition to give perspective. In this case, it was another photographer on the tour. When a person is included, it helps viewers to place themselves within the scene, transported to that very spot!
Oh my goodness, Donna~so very beautiful. I know I've said more than once that one/many are my faves - but, this one? Oh yeah!

It just reminds of how small we all really are in this old world...The mountains are Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Donna!

Gorgeous photo, as always! I'm glad you included the photographer in this photo. It gives a different perspective to the scene. Wish I was standing right there today!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. Makes you realize how small we really are in the grand scheme of things
ReplyDeleteHe's one lucky tourist to be there in my favorite Grand Teton mountains!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot Donna.
Hope you are doing well dear - we're off across the pond next week so hope to have some nice pix to share later - Paris, Provence, and Languedoc in France. . . . . plus Barcelona, Spain.
Take care - hope your sweet Angel is well too and taking you for walks!
Hugs - Mary
And, in this case, provides that very important touch of red as if you had painted the scene. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteSuch a stunning view of this cloud wrapped mountain and the river flowing from it. The other photographer certainly gives some perspective. Well done!
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning photo Donna. How I would LOVE to place myself right there.... Sigh....
ReplyDeleteWow! Yes, it sure does! Awesome picture!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot! I think leaving him in was great idea :)
ReplyDeleteYou've captured the beauty of the West so wonderfully!

All of your photos are beautiful, Donna. You don't take a bad one LOL
ReplyDeleteI like this one too because of the other photographer in it!
I like when a person is in the scene, simply because it automatically illustrates the grandeur of the scene.
ReplyDeleteAnother spectacular mountain shot! Hope you're taking care of yourself. We're finding it a long slow road - headed for memorial services in Alberta and BC where Will worked, in a week or two.
ReplyDeleteDonna, it's a great photo! Hope you're feeling better and healing. I love the west but haven't been there in decades.
ReplyDeleteHello Donna, I'm visiting late since I've been away. Your mountain photos are always gorgeous. Like you, I prefer no people, but the inclusion of a fellow photographer in this one does give perspective to the scene. I hope you are doing well and that Angel is keeping you good company as the days shorten.
ReplyDeleteYes--I like seeing a person in the scene--especially this, when the person is far away. It does make the mountains look like they truly are--tall, large and magnificent.
