Vee's Note Card Party - Mount McKinley

It’s time for Miz Vee’s monthly note card party!

A Haven for Vee

Today, I am featuring some photographs I took when we visited Denali National Park in 2011. Mount McKinley (also known as Denali, which is Athabaskan for “The High One”) is the most prominent mountain peak in the park. With a summit elevation of 20,320 feet above sea level, you would think that most visitors couldn’t miss it! Sadly, they do. On any given day, a heavy blanket of clouds usually covers this part of the mountain range. In fact, when we first arrived, we couldn't see anything at all past Wonder Lake.

But we had a stroke of good luck, and a vivid blue sky made an appearance while we stayed a few days in the park. As can be expected, the view was simply stunning!

These images make great note cards, and I frequently send them out to friends and family. I hope you will have time to stop by A Haven for Vee for her card party links and visit other participants!
