Photo of the Week - November Sunrise

For the past several weeks, we’ve been getting up early for Mr. Jim’s radiation treatment appointments. Though we tend to be sleepyheads at the crack of dawn, at least we get to witness some beautiful sunrises. Risking an eccentric reputation by neighbors, I briefly popped out on our front porch while wearing a robe yesterday morning and took this sunrise photo.

Glorious!

  2. Gorgeous... We can't see the sunrise from our home (house is between the hills)---but we did see a sunset last night... Our weatherman (Todd --on Channel 10) talked about the high clouds and ice crystals causing this.. Neat, isn't it????? WOW!
    Hugs,

  3. Haaaha "risking an eccentric reputation" ... I hear you, girlfriend. And you know how much I love those sky pics. SO breathtaking, sunrises. I don't usually see them either, but when I do, I know what I've missed. Beautiful shot. Blessings to you and Mr. Jim. xoxoxo

  4. Oh the things I've done on the front lawn wearing a robe. LOL! I don't imagine you've risked your reputation by capturing this beautiful sunrise! Thank you.

  5. Gorgeous sunrise. A little eccentricity is good for the soul, and keeps the neighbours wondering!

  6. Wishing you and your Baboo well, love your sunrise, if one must get up... A robe, no problem. I must tell you about my sister who loves being in her nightie. Well one evening her hubby was playing a late game of baseball, so she changed for bed earlier than usual,( it was very HOT/both in temperature and appearance) and then discovered a smell trash can in her kitchen. She went into the garage to throw out her trash, well didn't the door slam shut, LOCKED!. This of course was in the days of no cell phones, or phones in the garage. So she had to call her hubby from her neighbors. He was sort of a creepy old guy of about 40years old, (she was in her 20s). You can imagine... She's a well built woman. Fortunately they sold their home shortly after. So don't worry about your robe.

  8. This is a spectacular sunrise and you are fortunate to have such a great clear view of the sky and it's amazing beauty in the morning. That it's from the front porch is just fine, and I doubt many neighbors were even up let alone outside waiting to critique your nightwear, LOL!!!

I've been outside lately around 6:30 AM, just love the early mornings this time of year. Get Bob's paper from the end of the drive, look about the garden, snap a few pics, all in my ratty robe - my neighbors are all lovely and wouldn't bat an eye I'm sure.

Hugs to you and Mr. Jim - Mary

  12. What a gorgeous sunrise. I love early morning and watching the sun come up (if I don't have to head out to work that is) I just wish that I had a better view of the sunrise.

  14. Gorgeous! I hear that we have been having fabulous sunrises here but I haven't seen them! I guess I need to look out the window more often!
