I’ve always admired covered bridges and love to photograph them during our travels. But we don’t have to go very far at all to visit this bridge! It is located right down the hill from our cottage. During the wintertime, we can catch glimpses of the bridge’s roof through our backyard woodlands.
This particular bridge is part of our subdivision and provides access over Conner Creek. The handsome, arts-and-crafts design is complimented by the swooping angles of the roadway. The setting is pretty no matter what time of year, but especially magical when it is snowing. I captured this image during our heaviest snowfall of the winter season, January 28.
I love it! There is just something quaint about covered bridges.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty subdivision you live in! I have to admit that as much as I dispise snow right now it is always pretty to look at!
ReplyDeleteI love covered bridges, too. Oregon has quite a few historic covered bridges - and drive-yourself bridge tours. We plan to do each of the tours sometime this summer. You know my camera will be close by. Your photo is gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteIt is very pretty and I have to agree about covered bridges looking magical in the snow
ReplyDeleteThis is a really beautiful photo of your covered bridge. The bridge has an unusual roof and look like a sugar shack without walls. ;) I love how the road curves and the fence follows it. It must be so nice to drive through this whenever you want to. Pamela
