Lamar Valley, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
An abundance of wildlife can be found in the beautiful Lamar Valley. The valley is tucked into the northeast section of Yellowstone. On my trip last fall, I saw bison, wolves, pronghorn sheep, and coyotes in this area. Do you see the little black dots in the center of the photo? Those dots are bison, way off in the distance.
Another beautiful photo, Donna! I am glad that you told us about the "little black dots," or I may have missed that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sky!!
It's an awesome view. Perfectly captured.
ReplyDeleteYep, I would have missed them too, mistaking them for bushes although the detail is amazing. I'm noticing the wispy line of trees on the horizon. Fantastic shot, Donna!
ReplyDeleteNo, I missed them. I did not miss the trees standing tall and singular along the ridge. I love that!
ReplyDeleteI love the wide open spaces of the west! Just stunning!

Beautiful lines of hills and trees. And the dots - good thing you mentioned them or I would have missed them!
ReplyDeleteYour scene looks so much more beautiful than around here today - dead and dreary and awaiting what could be a 'stop everything' ice storm rather than softly falling snow, sigh!
ReplyDeleteThe play of sunlight and shadows is lovely in this image Donna.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could see the bison but my eyes aren't what they used to be!
Oh to have the 20/20 vision of my youth!
This is just beautiful! I haven't been to Wyoming or Yellowstone in such a long time. It's nice to be able to visit through your photos!
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning photo. It's been ages since I was in Yellowstone.
ReplyDeleteGlad you mentioned the black dots...would have missed them. Gorgeous photo as always!
ReplyDeleteI've not been to Yellowstone, but had a cousin who went regularly and loved it. This is a masterpiece, Donna. Like a painting, yes!
