In Honor of Buddy

This is one of my favorite pictures of Buddy. (age 10)
Buddy was our best friend. He has now been gone a year, but he will forever be in our hearts. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to him two days before his 12th birthday.

We chose his name during our drive home from picking him up. Little did we know how well it would suit him! Buddy was a Belgian Malinois, a working dog breed well known for K-9, security, and search/rescue occupations. True to his breed, he was extremely intelligent and devoted.

Buddy’s job in life was to look after us and his homestead. He did it well. Buddy brought us great joy. We are better people since he came into our lives.

We loved our Buddy!

  3. Donna, I have 5 dogs and love them all. We have 2 small dogs inside and the rest outside. But they become just like your children don't they? They need love and compassion just like a child.
I am so very sorry for your loss dear heart...

  4. He was our fur-baby. A big rough-and-tumble exterior and a gentle soul on the inside.

  5. oh my-- he was a BIG baby wasn't he?
i know he had a lot of love to share.
was he as scary as eeveee?
    i bet more-so.
i'm so used to seeing the 'schutzhund'
dogs, they're usually much thinner from that type of 'work. i don't think i've seen one buddys' size. i would definitely be headin the other direction!

    beautiful dog.

i know you still miss him.
    sorry.
