I couldn’t resist an invitation from my dear friend, Kylie of A Bite of Country Cupcakes, to participate in a blogging version of “Pay It Forward”. I remember seeing the movie with the same title in 2000, and there is also a book on the concept. The basic premise is to repay a kindness by paying it forward to another person.
To fulfill my obligations, I am to add the PIF symbol to my blog and a link back to Kylie’s blog. Then, I am to invite the first 3 visitors of my blog to leave a comment saying that they would like to be involved and receive a handmade gift from me within 365 days of joining.
How about it, folks? Want to play along and spread some kindness in the next year? On your mark, get set, GO! The first 3 to leave a comment and say that they want to participate will get a handmade goodie from me sometime in the next year! You also need to follow-up with an e-mail to me at [e-mail address removed by edit] to confirm your spot. To participate, you must have your own blog, follow these steps, and do the same for your first 3 visitors.
Hee-hee, this is going to be FUN!

ReplyDeleteHave Fun!
Hi Donna,
ReplyDeleteI'll play but I am going away for a few days so can it wait till I return? My email is linked when I comment. Oh and I have an award waiting for you back at my place.
I would join too Donna...but I have one too. I think the rules might have to change to include non bloggers....we must be running out of takers. xxxRobby
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you can join in on the fun, Joan! You can take care of everything when you get back from your fun (and safe) trip!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the award too! I am way behind on acknowledging several. It's been an avalanche, LOL!
Hi, Donna! I just found your blog (I LOVE it), and love the PIF idea! I would love to join...and will be putting the information on my blog. What a wonderful thing to do....maybe it will brighten up some really hard times for people!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. I had heard about the tax the EPA is considering for farmers with "pollution emitting" animals. Ridiculous. I mentioned it to one of our secretaries who is a farm wife. She said if it passes they will be bankrupt- it would be more than$45,000 a year for their cows!
ReplyDeleteCan you believe the stupidity, Sue, of that proposal? Good grief! Nothing like putting our farmers out of business and then have our nation rely even more upon other nations to feed us! The story is just now hitting the press and I hope people get outraged about it.
ReplyDeleteHope the EPA doesn't take a notion to add me to the tax list whenever I eat a bowl of chili! ROFL!
Perhaps they should just tax our congress for all the gas they create...I think taxing the farmers for having cows is such a ridiculous thing. How in the world do they keep coming up with all these crazy ideas. I am not a farmer, but do have family that farm, have sheep and not cows...if they will tax the cows, they'll tax other farm animals later.
ReplyDeleteLove the pay it forward idea, but no time to join in right now. Thank you for joining in the Great Christmas Giveaway. I've added you to my sidebar.
Have a beautiful and blessed Christmas,
Angelina
Thanks for visiting, Angelina! Those proposed requirements are part of a revamp of Clean Air regulations. There would be a threshold for the "emissions", so it would affect farmers who have approx. 25+ dairy cattle, 50+ beef cattle, and 200+ hogs. And this is being proposed by EPA, not Congress! A little common sense is in order!
ReplyDeleteOh dear...am just now seeing this...Maybe another time I will have extra time to play...thanks dear friend! Cindy
