This will be a memorable and busy month for us. Mr. Jim is going to have his cancer surgery on the 10th, and he is expected to be in the hospital for 7-10 days. Recovery will take 2-3 months. He will concentrate on getting well, and I will concentrate on taking care of his needs and running the household. Please continue to keep Mr. Jim in your prayers. We are much obliged!
Before we begin this marathon session, we’re taking a short trip to the northern mountains of Georgia this week. We’ve never visited before and it’s not that far away from us. We’ll be staying at a beautiful little country inn that takes full advantage of countryside views. Rest is high on the agenda. Activities, including photography, are low on the agenda.
As you might expect, my blogging activities will be curtailed until further notice. I will publish intermittent posts when time allows and to provide meaningful updates. You’ll be glad to know that Wordless Wednesday posts to continue! Visits to my blogging friends will erratic. I appreciate your understanding.
The next A Personal Photo Challenge will be September 14, as scheduled. I have prepared some challenge photos and plan to schedule a post. However, I will not be making the usual rounds to visit other participants and provide detailed comments. I hope that participants will offer extra encouragement to each other since I will be absent.
Weather-wise, September is usually a month to savor. I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures! It will be hard to say farewell to the flowers and the hummingbirds, but I’m ready for our local trees to display colorful foliage and for the indoor air conditioners to take a break. May you enjoy the seasonal changes ahead too!
Thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and recovery. As you take care of Jim, we'll also be thinking of you. God bless you both.
