Owls Head, Maine
Owls Head Light
helps boats navigate the entrance to Rockland harbor. It was built in 1825, rebuilt in 1952, and
automated in 1989. The lighthouse is
only 30 feet tall, but seems more imposing because it sits at the very top of a
rocky cliff. This photo shows a few of the steps up to the structure. It
took me a little while, but I eventually climbed to the top! Whew!
What a fantastic shot! And oh, that sky...!
ReplyDeleteSO happy you made it to the top girl! Good that that foot is just about healed...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot!

Those steps would be quite a work out Hope all is well with you
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot. Glad you persevered to the top!
ReplyDeleteYou made it up there?! I took one look at those stairs and decided against it a few years ago. Looks as if it was a beautiful day that day. Today would have been a great day to be there as well.
ReplyDeleteSuch intense colors - it must have been a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteKudos to you...on your beautiful photo (I love it!), and also on your climb to the top!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always and I'm proud of you for making it to the top!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome! That's more than a few steps to climb.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I love the photo; just so beautiful.
xoxo
What a climb! I'm sure it's worth it when you get to the top. I'm having a knee issue and I would have to take it pretty slow, too. Your photo is wonderful! Such great perspective.
