Damariscotta, Maine
There were many
grand vistas to record with my camera during the recent trip to coastal Maine. But I was also searching for some different
subjects that tell a story about the area. Any composition that features simplicity is a
bonus. This lone, white boat, weathered
from the seasons and use, definitely fit the bill.
While the boat was floating, I patiently waited until it was positioned on a diagonal. The story line is supported by many elements: wooden
oars with chippy paint; reflection in the shallow water; cotton rope tied to the
dock; scuffed deck where the rower sits; gentle water that envelopes the overall scene.
Do you want to get in the boat with me and go for a row?
yes I do want to go for a row with you. I love the look of this picture.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, I'll go!! I absolutely love this picture!!
ReplyDeleteNo. Saltwater is very cold. I am very off balance and have wound up in the brink before. I'll happily cheer you on! This picture is a wonderful composition and does tell a story.
