Biltmore Estate, Asheville, North Carolina
There is a very short window of opportunity to ever take a panorama of the grand Biltmore house without a multitude of vehicles and people included within the composition. However, we got such an opportunity on Christmas Day because tours are scheduled to start later than usual. Since we were staying at the estate’s inn, we were able to conveniently venture over to the historic home via the inn’s shuttle bus service.
We walked up to an overlook area to see this sweeping vista. I took three images for this panorama and magically stitched them together with Photoshop CC. There were no clouds to add visual interest to the sky that morning, but this magnificent view was clearly enough of a treat.
Don't forget to click on the image to see it bigger!
P.S. Mr. Jim is getting a follow-up CAT scan today, and we will get the results back on Friday. Please keep him in your prayers for a good medical report!
I did click on the picture to view it larger and it's wonderful. What an opportunity to be there and to get this gorgeous panorama shot. Praying for Mr. Jim. God bless you both with peace. Hugs, Pamela
ReplyDeleteWow, an impressive vista of the estate. Praying that Jim's medical report is good.

beautiful light and shadows!
ReplyDeleteExquisite. So, if I divided this picture into thirds, that would be a way to know what each of the three original photos showed? Pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteYes, praying that Jim's gets an excellent report.
AH---don't we just love that place? Your panorama is fantastic... George makes his panoramas the same way... Awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteNO winter weather at all today (no rain/no snow/nuttin')... Fooled the weather people for sure!
Hugs,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteWonderful photo. Keeping you both in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteMay all the best be with Jim and his doctors. Gorgeous capture without the social input/cars, etc.
ReplyDeleteI held up that scarf I used in that tutorial and I'm 5'5" and it was probably 6'5" ...so 'long' is the answer. lol That is something I should include in the tutorial, huh? Thanks for the prompt. lol
This photo is amazing, Donna! (There I go...using that word again!) Stunning!

(((HUG)))
Everything crossed and our prayers are being offered up today - may Jim's CAT scan results be the best possible.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you guys saw the Biltmore Estate in sunshine, great shot - it's such a beautiful place. It's been a few years since we actually bought an entry and spent time looking around - perhaps on our next trip to Asheville. As you mentioned, it would be lovely to meet up with you there as you suggested.....can you imagine the clatter of chatter and camera shutters going non-stop between us, LOL!
Stay strong and remember you and dear Mr. Jim have many friends out there pulling for you.
Always, Mary
Oh how gorgeous. I love that place. I know that overlook spot well. What fun for you to have this rare opportunity. xoxo
