It is daffodil time, so the robins all cry,
For the sun’s a big daffodil up in the sky,
And when down the midnight the owl calls “to-whoo”!
Why, then the round moon is a daffodil too;
Now sheer to the bough-tops the sap starts to climb,
So, merry my masters, it’s daffodil time.

Are those yours blooming now? Amazing! We've got to wait awhile longer here...
ReplyDeleteVee - We don't have any daffies at our rental house. :-( This is a photo I took last year at our country cottage (now sold). I'll plant dozens of bulbs this fall at our new place!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the new header! And daffodils are still a gleam in my eye...we won't be seeing them for a few months yet. But our day is coming!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty daffydowndillies.
ReplyDeletei was about to get jealous! thinkin you had flowers AND wrote a poem :))
ReplyDeletei feel better now, knowin we're in the same empty cold boat.
but hey-- spring really isn't very far away.
time for sunshine--- flowers galore--- and possibly even some creativity -- whatever 'our own personal specialty' may be.
happy rest of the week my S&B.

Hi Donna--love your daffodil picture. I had lots of daffodils planted at my old house and none at this new one. I always loved seeing them bloom in the early spring. I need to go to the old house to get some and bring them here. (And plant some new bulbs this fall.) My mom had daffodils and they always remind me of her and they are just such a bright place and a ray of hope that winter is leaving.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see my daffodils!
ReplyDeleteThose are SO pretty!! And Yes, you need to start planting at the new house! I think you still have time to get bulbs in don't you?
