The storm starts when the drops start dropping.
When the drops stop dropping, the storm starts stopping.
~Dr. Seuss~
With typical summer weather, we have a lot of thunderstorms rolling into our valley area lately. I captured this thunderhead image while standing in our driveway a week ago, looking out over a valley ridge at the end of our street. I digitally applied two different textures to further enhance the photo.
Wow! Now THAT is a pic of a thunderhead!!!
ReplyDeleteGracious, next time put that camera down and seek cover!!! What a scary cloud!!!

Thanks, gals! Hey, it wasn't nearly as scary as it looks! It was a big ol' puffy white cloud in reality. But I made it look like a beast with some Photoshop special effects! hahaha!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the dr suess quote
ReplyDeleteAhhh ... summer in East Tennessee! Most beautiful. BTW we lived in Knoxville for many years. Our daughter still lives there (she works at Whirlpool in West K'ville) and our son is a Junior at Crown College in Powell! We all love East Tennessee! That's a truly incredible picture of the clouds. Wonderful work, Donna! And who can resist Dr. Seuss? Not me!

I'm glad that you enhanced it because otherwise it looks like "take cover" weather! Very impressive.
ReplyDeleteLove that photo! I tried to "capture" some clouds, but they just didn't turn out. Maybe I should play with them, and see if enhancing might help them.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Your shot is AWESOME!! I love the filters you added too.
